Minor injuries reported in two vehicle accident

SIDNEY(July 17, 2024) -- A white SUV and a four-door dark-colored sedan went off the road north of Lorenzo on Highway 19 this morning.
The sedan was southbound on Highway 19 in foggy conditions when the driver saw a northbound The dark-colored sedan then entered the ditch, coming to rest facing west.
Jordan Tyler Nelson, 26, of Sidney, was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue southbound on Highway 19, passing a vehicle in fog. According to the accident report, Nelson observed a northbound vehicle, a 2020 Cadillac driven by Hesper Lynn Gentry, 46, of Peetz.
Nelson drove his sedan off the east side of the road to avoid a head-on collision. The Cadillac was northbound on Highway 19. Gentry saw the Oldsmobile and also exited the road to avoid a head-on collision.
The two vehicles sideswiped each other in the east ditch.
Gentry was transported to Sidney Regional Medical Center by Morrill County ambulance.
