Panhandle under "marginal risk" of severe weather. National Weather Service says moisture level could lead to severe thunderstorms.

Warning for Scotts Bluff County extended to 3:15 p.m.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for northwestern Cheyenne County, and weatherology.com announced a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Scotts Bluff County. The weatherology.com weather map shows a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for north and west of Gering in Scotts Bluff County.

The National Weather Service is predicting a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms before 11 p.m. today. The NWS says "increasing moisture today will support strong to briefly severe thunderstorms through this evening. Additionally, heaving rainfall could lead to localized flash flooding."
