Authorities investigating fatal plane crash

The sole occupant in a single-engine plane crash died this morning in Morgan County, Colo.

MORGAN COUNTY, Colo. -- Morgan County first responders were called to a report of a single-engine plane crash in the Snyder-Hillrose area at 10:15 a.m. today, September 5.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered the sole occupant of the plane was deceased.

This crash is being jointly investigated by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Morgan County Coroner’s Office, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Nation Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

This is an active investigation and additional details will not be released at this time, according to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office. The pilot's name is not being released until family members can be notified.
 
Responding agencies include: Morgan County 911, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Hillrose Snyder Fire Department, Morgan County Coroner’s Office and Morgan County Ambulance Service.
