Garden County Sheriff's Deputy arrested for sexual assault, child abuse charges

A Garden County Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested for sexual assault and child abuse charges.

OSHKOSH, Neb. -- A Garden County Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested for sexual assault and child abuse charges.

Nebraska State Patrol investigators 39-year-old Bruce Neal of Oshkosh following an investigation into a report of a sexual assault.

The NSP started investigating the case in July requested by the Attorney General's Office.

After the investigation, NSP investigators arrested Neal for one count of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of child abuse.

Neal was arrested on Friday, Sept. 20, at his home. He has been lodged at the Cheyenne County Jail.

This is an ongoing investigation.
