KIMBALL -- Four Kimball Cross Country student athletes won medals at the Western Trails Conference meet on Oct. 7.
The WTC is made up of seven Jr./Sr. High schools that compete, with a total of 111 students — 12 of them being from Kimball.
A medal is given to the top ten runners in each category: Jr. High boys, Jr. High girls, High School boys, and High School girls.
The high school students ran a 5K and the junior high students ran a 3K.
Conrad Kaminski placed 5th in High School boys, Braxton MIller placed 7th in High School boys, MacKenzie Miller placed 10th in Jr. High girls, and Trajan Johnson placed 9th in Jr. High boys.
“I'm super proud of all of them; they all work hard, even the ones that didn’t medal,” said Head Coach Tiffany Johnson. “There are days it’s not fun, but they continually work hard. It’s exciting to watch them push each other and themselves. Hopefully we continue with the trend of continually running better and faster and good things will happen.”
