General Election results in Kimball County
KIMBALL COUNTY -- Sixty-six percent of registered voters in Kimball County voted in the 2024 General Election Tuesday night — 1,726 ballots cast.
Republican David R. Hottell will serve as Kimball’s next County Commissioner, receiving 1,494 votes against 51 write-ins.
Judge Julie Martin has retained her position with 1,079 votes for yes and 350 for no.
Judge Derek Weimer has retained his position with 1,084 votes for yes and 382 for no.
The Kimball County Ag Society renewed its tax levy, passing by less than 100 votes – 853 votes in favor and 782 against.
The plains historical society has retained its funding by just 19 votes – 818 votes in favor and 799 against.
Republican Donald Trump won the Presidential votes from Kimball County receiving 1,410 votes. Democrat Kamala Harris received 271 votes.
Republican incumbent Adrian Smith won the votes for The Representative in Congress District 3 from Kimball County.
Smith received 1,439 votes and Democrat Daniel Ebers received 231 votes.
The 6-year term U.S. Senator nominee from Kimball County is Republican incumbent Deb Fischer ran against Dan Osborn by petition for the 6-year term U.S. Senator seat.
Fischer came ahead in the race with 1,197 votes and Osborn received 472 votes.
The 2-year term U.S. Senator Republican nominee Pete Ricketts faced Democrat Preston Love Jr., with Ricketts coming in the lead receiving 1,432 votes and Love receiving 240 votes.
The Board Members joining the Kimball School District 1 are Britni Toth with 888 votes, Taylor Brown with 1,072 votes and Landon A. Smith with 887 votes.
The two new City of Kimball Council Members who ran unopposed are Jamie Murdoch who received 672 votes and Austin Garner who received 743.
Sarah Ludwig will join the six-year term Airport Authority Board Member position, receiving 764 votes. Ryan McElroy will also serve as he got 77 votes as a write-in.
The Board Members joining the Potter-Dix School District 9 Colt M. Alexander with 123 votes, Royce McConnell with 142 votes and Trustin Vrtatko with 124 votes.
The Village of Bushnell Board Members who ran unopposed are Gene Russum who received 32 votes, Jessica Rocha received 35 and Gail Luehr received 33.
The Village of Dix Board Members who ran unopposed are Dave Parshall received 56 votes and Daniel Mandt received 44 votes.
John P. Stinner was voted onto the Western Community College for Board of Governors At Large with 1,239 votes
The South Platte Natural Resources District for Board of Directors subdistrict 1 is Bill Halligan with 783 votes.
Stephen C. Diemoz was voted onto the Educational Service Unit No. 13 District 12 with 1,275 votes.
The initiative measure 434 passed with 1,037 votes in favor to 597 votes against.
The initiative measure 435 repealed, with 831 votes to repeal and 756 votes to retain.
The initiative measure 436 passed with 1,099 votes in favor to 497 against.
The initiative measure 437 passed with 938 votes in favor and 663 against.
The initiative measure 438 passed with 889 votes in favor and 715 against.
The initiative measure 439 failed with 646 in favor to 980 against.
