Stuart tops SEM to claim first state in program history

KEARNEY, Neb. — Stuart is bringing home its first ever state title.<br/><br/>The Broncos avenged a regular season loss to SEM by defeating the Mustangs 42-38 in the D6 State Championship on Friday night.

KEARNEY, Neb. — Stuart is bringing home its first ever state title.

The Broncos avenged a regular season loss to SEM by defeating the Mustangs 42-38 in the D6 State Championship on Friday night.

Stuart took its first lead of the game with 1:29 left to play when Kayde Ramm punched in a 4 yard touchdown. Then the Broncos defense forced an SEM turnover on downs to ensure the victory.

Owen Littau led Stuart with 118 yards rushing and two scores.

Maddox Jones ran for a team high 116 yards and three touchdowns for SEM in the defeat.
