Chappell rings in the holiday season with festive community celebration
CHAPPELL, Neb. — The Chappell Community Development Office expressed gratitude to residents and surrounding communities for making Sunday’s Christmas celebration a resounding success.
“Yesterday was a great day for Christmas in Chappell,” the office shared in a statement on social media, highlighting the collective efforts that brought holiday cheer to the Deuel County community.
Santa Claus made a special visit, taking time from his busy schedule to spread joy among attendees. Children were also delighted to receive books donated by the Friends of the Library. Chappell Superfoods contributed additional groceries for giveaways.
The Chappell Volunteer Firefighters were lauded for their ongoing support of community activities, serving as role models for the town’s youth. Creek Valley Schools provided their facilities, while the Methodist Youth Group handled meal preparations.
Local vendors also turned out in support, offering a variety of goods.
Special recognition was extended to the Chappell Chamber of Commerce for their dedication to organizing and ensuring the success of the event.
“Our chamber is truly the best,” the statement read. “We wish everyone a happy holiday season!”
