KIMBALL -- The Christmas wishes of Kimball children came true this season thanks to those who donated gifts to families in need.

Shavonne Singleton organized a community giving program, the Kimball Christmas Angel Tree, which allowed families in need to receive gifts for their children from a sponsor.

Singleton said 29 families were sponsored by generous community members and local businesses. She plans to continue it in the future, and the sponsors of the program want to continue to be part of it.

“It was a huge success,” Singleton said. “We thank all the community members and local businesses who participated in the Angel Tree, and we look forward to next year.”

They even had extra funds from the program and were able to donate a $50 Main Street Market gift card to every family who participated in the program.
