Jennifer Marie MacKay, age 35, of Sidney, NE passed away at her home on Thursday, December 26, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 08, 2025, at E-Free Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Kyle Larson officiating. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website.  Cremation has taken place, and burial will be at a later date.

Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 1:00-6:00 P.M. to leave condolences for the family.  You may view Jennifer’s Book of Memories, leave condolences, photos and stories at www.gehrigstittchapel.com.  Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Jennifer’s care and funeral arrangements. In lieu of flower memorial contributions can be made to Tasha Huck for later designation.

Jennifer Marie MacKay was born February 6, 1989, in Sidney Nebraska to parents Michael and Faye (Dickinson) MacKay. She was the oldest sibling of 4 children. Jennifer grew up in Sidney and graduated from Sidney High School in 2007. After graduating high school, she went on to attend Chadron State College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2011.

In June of 2015, she welcomed her beautiful daughter, Destiny Moss, into the world with her then husband, Josh Moss. Destiny was the light of Jennifer’s life. Jennifer loved being a mother. She and Destiny would often be found playing dress up, having dance parties, playing outside, and working on art projects together.

Jennifer loved spending her free time going for walks, spending time with family or friends, or sitting down to read a book. Jennifer lit up any room she walked into and left a bright and positive impact in every person’s life she touched.

In 2017, Jennifer began her career as a financial advisor at Financial Partners LLC, where she worked alongside her brother-in-law, Mason Huck. Jennifer excelled in her role at Financial Partners and loved and cared for every one of her clients.

Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Destiny Moss, her parents, Michael and Faye MacKay, her sisters, Tasha (husband Mason) Huck, and Chelsie (husband Cody) Gugel, her brother, Michael MacKay, nieces, Teegan and Willow Huck and numerous extended family and friends.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert MacKay, Erika MacKay, Larry Schroeder, Lenard Dickinson, and Darlene Dickinson, Aunts Eileen Harmon and Connie Dickinson, and Cousin Ron Bennett.
