Michael E. Roberds, 59, of Kimball, died at his home in Kimball on Thursday, January 23, 2025.  Cremation has been held and memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Kimball with Pastor Zach Davis officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date.  Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to share condolences and stories with the family.  Contributions in his memory may be given to the First Baptist Church.  Services have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home. 

Michael Elwin Roberds was born on February 2, 1965, in Kimball, the son of Elwin and Joyce (Raines) Roberds.  Michael received his education in Kimball and graduated from Kimball County High School in 1983 and went on to lead a hardworking and adventurous life. He worked in a variety of roles, including as a skilled diesel mechanic, a dedicated truck driver in the oil fields, a ranch hand, and even as a fearless bull rider. Michael accepted the Lord and was saved on May 12, 2004. Michael’s hands-on approach to life and unwavering determination left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Above all, Michael cherished his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Candy; his daughters, Jessica Watters and Kira Cole; and numerous siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandchildren who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Michael’s legacy of resilience, dedication, and love will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched throughout his life.
