Sidney speech team earns hardware at North Platte Blue and Gold Meet

The Sidney High School Red Raider Speech Team earned multiple finishes near the top of the standings in various categories at the North Platte High School Blue and Gold Speech Meet on Saturday.

NORTH PLATTE – The Sidney High School Red Raider Speech Team earned multiple finishes near the top of the standings in various categories at the North Platte High School Blue and Gold Speech Meet on Saturday.

In Oral Interpretation of Drama (OID), the team performing Finding Nemo placed fourth in the honors division, while the Jumanji group took home second place in the championship category.

Rachel Ernst secured second place in the Persuasive honors division. Dagen Lee placed sixth in the championship category. Kennedy Hobson and Ernst placed third and fourth, respectively, in the Oral Interpretation (POI) honors division.

Lee also placed sixth in the Humorous honors division.

Josette McConnell placed fourth in the Extemporaneous championship division. In poetry honors, Laurel Dadgostar earned a sixth-place finish, and in serious interpretation, Raven Dinorog placed third.
