Outdoor notes: Join Game and Parks in virtual discussion on fisheries in March
Join the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission in a virtual discussion on fisheries management during meetings March 24-26.

The informal, interactive gatherings will provide a chance for questions, dialogue and feedback.
The virtual meetings will take place on Zoom, a free app that can be downloaded to a web browser or mobile device. Participants will be encouraged to submit questions using Zoom’s Q&A feature.
The schedule (all times are Central Time):
March 24 – Statewide session, featuring the 3rd Aquatic Habitat Plan, 6-7 p.m.; Southeast District session, 7:30-8:30 p.m.
March 25 – Northeast District session, 6-7 p.m.; Northwest District session, 7:30-8:30 p.m.

All sessions will be recorded and made available on Game and Parks’ YouTube channel for later viewing.
Enders Reservoir SRA plans prescribed burn for March 9
Enders Reservoir State Recreation Area will temporarily close two sections of the park March 8-9 to conduct a prescribed burn.
Nebraska Game and Parks is planning a burn on 155 acres on the south side of Enders Lake starting at 9 a.m. Mountain Time on March 9.
No Name Bay, including the boat ramp, and Crappie Bay Campgrounds will be closed to the public starting March 8 for the duration of the burn and while monitoring for hot spots.
Prescribed burns benefit wildlife and parks spaces by improving habitat. Burns help set back undesirable plants that invade native woodlands and prairies, as well as other grass and wooded areas.
Enders is one of several Game and Parks wildlife management areas, state parks and state recreation areas that have prescribed fires planned.
