Evelyn Gerih, age 96 of Sidney, NE passed away at her home with family by her side on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Cremation has taken place, and services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney with Pastor Wayne Fraass officiating.

Evelyn Virginia Lingwall the daughter of John and Minnie (Sprenger) Lingwall was born September 6, 1928, at the family farm in the West Sidney Draw, Sidney NE. As a child she lived on the farm and attended Mount Vernon School (District 27) through eighth grade. She continued her education at Sidney High School graduating in 1945. She worked at the Dime store behind the candy counter, a job she loved. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran with her family and was confirmed in the Lutheran religion. Evelyn was a lifetime member of the M. I. Club (Mutual Improvement).

She married Harold L. R. Revell in August of 1947. From this union there were three children. Bryce L Revell in 1951, Max W Revell in 1952, and Dana M Revell in 1955. They ran the Mayfair Café for a few years. They followed the oil field to Kimball in 1963. She worked several jobs in Kimball, including the dime store and George Risk. She was an avid gardener and always provided her family with a beautiful home.

In December 1979 she married Clyde G. Gerih in Cheyenne, WY. They lived in Kimball until 1991 then moved to Sidney for the remainder of her life. They loved fishing and camping and working in their yard. She provided her grandchildren with the most wonderful Christmases that they still talk about. At least one Afghan was crocheted for each.

Survivors include her son Bryce and wife Leslie of Wray, Co., daughter-in-law Deb Revell of Kimball NE., and daughter Dana Revell of Sidney, NE, nine grandchildren and nineteen grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents John and Minnie Lingwall and her brother Donald Lingwall who she adored, husband Clyde Gerih and son Max Revell
