Sidney police arrest man after shots fired report in south Sidney

A Sidney man is facing a felony charge after police responded to reports of shots fired Tuesday evening. Beau P. Wright, 33, was arrested on Country Club Drive.

SIDNEY, Neb. — A disturbance call Tuesday evening in Sidney led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man after reports of shots fired, according to the Sidney Police Department.

At approximately 6:16 p.m. on Sept. 2, officers were dispatched to Country Club Drive after a caller reported a man shooting at a woman who had run from a residence. Responding officers located a woman and two juveniles outside the home and secured them safely.

Police said the suspect, identified as Beau P. Wright, was found inside the residence and taken into custody without incident. Investigators determined the weapon involved was a BB gun, which was recovered at the scene.

No physical injuries were reported. Wright was booked into the Cheyenne County Jail on a charge of felony terroristic threats.

Sidney police thanked the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office for assisting during the call.
