Shannon Anderson, 35, of Ogallala, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, Colorado.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, September 15, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater with Brenda Tophoj, PMA officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Broadwater.

Shannon was born on August 29, 1990, in Sidney, the daughter of Douglas and Nicole (Dykman) Anderson. She was raised on the family farm at Broadwater.  Shannon attended Bridgeport Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 2009. She attended college at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She graduated with her nursing degree as a registered nurse.

Shannon worked as a surgical nurse at several hospitals in the area. She was working at Farmers Co-op Elevator in Big Springs at the time of her death.

Survivors include her dad, Douglas and special friend Mary DeCora, her brother, Collin and special friend Lori Rood; grandparents Madlyn Anderson, Ron (Linda) Dykman, and Betty Dykman, aunts: Sandra Anderson and Kay Anderson, uncle: Phil Anderson and numerous cousins and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her mother, Nicole Dykman Anderson, aunt: Patsy Colling, uncles: Wayne Dykman and Aaron Dykman and Grandfather, Harold Anderson.

Shannon especially loved her dog, Maddi and her special friend Richard Jones. She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Shannon’s family has designated memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church, Broadwater VFD or donor’s choice.
