Live Fire training underway at Western Nebraska Engine Academy

The 2025 Western Nebraska Engine Academy is underway in Gering. Live fire exercises are actively taking place within the Buffalo Creek Wildlife Management Area this weekend. Travelers may see smoke and flames in the Buffalo Creek area.
