BROADWATER — A Broadwater man was arrested after deputies with the Morrill County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire late on Sept. 21.

Deputies were dispatched around 10:48 p.m. to the 200 block of East Ohio Street after witnesses reported hearing a gunshot. Investigators discovered evidence that multiple rounds had been fired.

A search warrant was later executed at the residence of John E. Looser, where deputies found several firearms. Authorities said Looser is a prohibited person and not legally allowed to possess firearms or deadly weapons.
