City of Kimball announces Council vacancy

On October 21, the Kimball City Council will address a council vacancy that occurred October 7. The Council meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Kimball City Offices, 223 S. Chestnut, Kimball.

KIMBALL, Ne. -- The public is hereby notified pursuant to Nebraska Statute and Kimball City Code that as of Oct. 7, 2025, there is a vacancy in the office of Council Member for the City of Kimball, Nebraska.

The issue of filling the existing vacancy will be placed on the agenda of the regular City Council meeting to be held 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, at the Kimball City Offices located at 223 S. Chestnut, Kimball, Nebraska 69145.

At such meeting, the Mayor of the city of Kimball shall submit the name of a qualified elector to the Kimball City Council to fill the position subject to Council approval. Persons interested in seeking nomination to such office shall direct applications or inquiries to the Kimball City Offices.

Vacancy: Council Member for City of Kimball, Unexpired Term: 4 years, commencing October 21, 2025, and ending December of 2026.
