Flood Communications adds Brandy Stone as account executive in western Nebraska

SIDNEY, Neb. - Flood Communications – Western Nebraska announced Tuesday the hiring of former Sidney/Cheyenne County Economic Development Director Brandy Stone as its newest account executive.
Stone will serve clients and communities across Kimball, Pine Bluffs, Torrington, Scottsbluff, Harrisburg and Gering, representing Flood Communications’ regional radio stations - 987 The Big Boy (KSID-FM), Cheyenne County Country (KSID-AM) and 104.3 KIMB (KIMB-FM) - it's statewide TV network News Channel Nebraska and Flood Digital Networks
A Potter native, Stone brings more than a decade of leadership and communication experience to her new role. She served in the U.S. Army beginning in 2013, developing expertise in strategic communication, emergency management, project management and intelligence operations.
“Over the past 12 years, I’ve built a background in strategic communication, emergency management, project management and intelligence operations,” Stone said. “After returning home to be closer to family, I’ve focused on applying those skills to strengthen and support our local communities across the Nebraska Panhandle.”
During her time with Sidney’s and Cheyenne County's Economic Development Department, Stone helped secure and manage grants for community improvement projects. She's also well known locally for her public art, having created many of the murals displayed around Sidney. In addition, she continues to assist the Sidney Creative District with public art and creative community initiatives.
“I’m excited to bring that same passion for community and storytelling to the airwaves,” Stone said. “Sharing local stories, events and voices that make our region such a special place to call home.”
Director of Sales of Chris Gutierrez said Stone’s background makes her a natural fit for the company’s growing presence across the region.
“Brandy understands what drives our local communities - collaboration, creativity, energy and pride,” Gutierrez said. “She’s going to be an incredible addition to our team as we continue building partnerships and telling the stories that matter most to our region.”
