SIDNEY -- On November 11, Sidney firefighters responded to a report of structure fire in the 1700 block of Linden Street in Sidney.

Smoke was reported to have started in the basement. Occupants of the house were out of the house upon arrival of firefighters.

Regina Persinger of Points West Bank said a fund has been set up to help the family.

"We've had a couple people from the community reach out, and wanted to know if there is a benefit account set up, or how they could help Regina," she said.

Persinger said the family has been contacted and appreciates the gesture.

"I contacted her, and she's very humbled, and very appreciative of the community asking to help her. People can go to any Points West Bank, and just let them know that they want to donate to Regina Olsen's fire benefit account," Persinger said.

She said the account will stay open until Regina Olsen decides to close it.
