Sidney firefighters spent their Sunday training in vehicle extrication to stay prepared for serious crash responses.

SIDNEY - Members of the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department spent part of their Sunday training in vehicle extrication techniques.

Firefighters conducted hands-on practice focused on safely removing individuals from vehicles following serious crashes. Department officials said the training helps ensure crews are prepared to respond quickly and effectively when emergencies occur.

The department thanked its volunteers for giving their time to strengthen skills that help protect the community.
