KIMBALL -- The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office made multiple arrests for Felony Child Endangerment over the weekend.  

Sheriff David Hottell said a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Dec. 27 that resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Aaron Thies of Wyoming for a DUI and Felony Child Endangerment/Abuse. 

He has since bonded out. 

The Scottsbluff Police Department arrested Scottsbluff resident Dieby Jesus Marquez on a felony warrant out of Kimball for an incident that occurred Sunday. 

The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office received reports of four people standing on the side of the highway north of Kimball. When our deputy arrived, he found a wife and three children that had been kicked out of a vehicle in below freezing temperatures, not wearing appropriate clothing for the weather. 

The Kimball Police Department also assisted in the case.  

45-year-old Marquez is facing three felony counts of cruelty towards a child/child endangerment. 

He remains in custody at the Scottsbluff County Jail awaiting the transfer to Kimball County Jail. His bond is set at $30,000, with the right to post 10%. 

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
