Observant residents in Valentine helped authorities recover a stolen vehicle and arrest a suspect after recognizing the vehicle from a Facebook post, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
A powerful overnight storm caused extensive damage to electrical infrastructure south of Rushville and Gordon, leaving residents without power and creating dangerous conditions along area roads.
A 20-year-old Valentine man was arrested Tuesday evening after authorities received a report of a man walking down the street with a scooter, yelling and carrying what appeared to be a handgun.
