SIDNEY, NE - A Sidney man will go to trial in September on a felony charge related to his fourth DUI arrest.

It was decided during a hearing Tuesday that 39-year-old Nathan Mills's trial will begin September 10th.

Mills is charged with refusing to submit to a test with three prior convictions, a Class 2A Felony. He was originally charged with a fourth offense DUI, but the charges were amended.

According to court documents, Mills has pleaded not guilty.

Sidney police arrested Mills in early March after pulling him over for speeding.

During the stop, officers noticed a strong scent of alcohol coming from the car. Court documents say Mills told officers he had enough to drink to put him over the legal limit during the stop, but did not consent to a sobriety test.

Mills has three prior DUI convictions. One is from Buffalo County from 2011 and two are from Lancaster County: one in 2011 and one in 2015.

A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for August 11th.
