Chadron High’s Justus Alcorn will continue his football career at South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City after signing his letter-of-intent on Wednesday with the Hardrockers.

Alcorn threw for almost 1200 yards and added 16 touchdowns to just 5 interceptions this past season in a Cardinal jersey. He also rushed for over 500 yards and another 5 scores.

Alcorn was an all-district and all-Western Conference selection this year as well as a Class C-1 all-state honorable mention.

Alcorn is the first Chadron High athlete to head to SDSMT since Coy Bila went there in 2018.

School of Mines went 6-5 this past season and is under the direction of 3rd year head coach Charlie Flohr.
