North Platte city administrator to resign

Not quite two years into his role as City Administrator, Matthew Kibbon has resigned, and Mayor Brandon Kelliher has accepted his resignation.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- The city administrator in North Platte is stepping down.

Matthew Kibbon announced Wednesday that he is leaving his position in May to move to the private sector.

Kibbon has been city administrator in North Platte for the past 22 months.

City officials say they intend to hire a search firm to assist in finding Kibbon's replacement.
