Spring storm causing road delays in the panhandle
The Nebraska Department on Transportation and Nebraska State Patrol advise caution during the most recent major spring storm.

SIDNEY, NE -- A spring snowstorm is causing travel delays.
The Nebraska Department on Transportation and Nebraska State Patrol advise caution during the most recent major spring storm.
“The biggest question you have to ask yourself on days like today is, 'Do I really need to be out on the roadway,' and if you are out on the roadway, make sure you’re wearing your seat belt and being cautious” state trooper, Andrew Ochoa said.
The winter weather warning has the Nebraska State Patrol quite busy, Ochoa says.
“We urge all drivers to be vigilant and avoid travel if conditions aren’t favorable," Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol John Bolduc said.
Travelers are advised to be alert, be aware and check the most up to date travel conditions available through 511
“If you do need to be not the roadway, check 511 first, look at the cameras, see where you’re going to be going and make sure the roadways are going to be good to go," Ochoa said. "If you end up getting in some trouble, if you get stranded or something happens, don’t be afraid to dial star 55. We’ll send a trooper out there as fast as Nebraska likes to change its weather."
