Oshkosh native takes over ownership of Chappell grocery store
CHAPPELL - A grocery store in downtown Chappell is under new ownership.
Kristy Nerud, of Oshkosh, announced on social media Monday she's "officially the new owner of the Chappell Super Foods." She said she's excited for the new venture and ready to be a part of the Chappell community.
"I have a great team on board, and will offer the wonderful service and products that consumers expect," Nerud said. "I appreciate all the support I have received and look forward to serving the customers."
Allan Schultz will serve as the Store Manager, Brandie Westbrook is the Assistant and Produce Manager, and the Meat Cutter is Frank Goforth. Nerud says Nova Wilmoth, Deb Bayne, Jan Roth and Donovan Andrews are also employed at the Deuel County grocery store.
Nerud, who also owns Jack Nerud Realty, says there are plans to upgrade the produce and dairy selected. This will be the first time Nerud has been involved with the grocery store business.
Store hours are 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
