A fight in Scottsbluff led to an arrest

A man in Scottsbluff was arrested when he tried to fight a police officer.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - 32-year-old Brittin Short was allegedly reported to be fighting which led to the cops being called.

Court documents say when officers arrived on the scene Short had ran into an alley way.

Officers followed Short and told him to put his hands up, but he didn’t comply.

From there officers tried putting his hands in hand cuffs.

Short raised his hands to officers and took a defensive stance toward them.

Officers then took Short to the ground to detain him and Short ended up striking an officer in the chin.

Once he was put in hand cuffs, nun chucks were found tucked in his jeans.

He was charged with Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Assault on an Officer, and Possession of a Concealed Weapon.
