Outdoor Discovery Program for panhandle kids

An outdoor discovery program is being held in Gering April 27th and 28th for panhandle kids to get a chance to expand their outdoor knowledge and participate in outdoor activities.

GERING, NE -- An Outdoor Discovery Program is being held in Gering April 27th and 28th for panhandle kids to get a chance to expand their outdoor knowledge and participate in activities. 

The event will go from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. both days at the Wildcat Hills Nature Center.

The event is for 5th, 6th, and 7th grade kids from Alliance, Bluff Middle School, Garden County, Potter-Dix, Westmoor, Bayard, Geil, Sidney West Elementary, and Creek Valley. 

The Outdoor Discovery Program is Nebraska’s largest outdoor classroom designed to provide schools with quality hands-on outdoor education.

The activities will include, archery, air rifles, tomahawks, geocaching, birding, and outdoor cooking.
