Eastern Wyoming College in 10th place halfway through national golf tournament

Lancers currently tenth after two rounds of national tournament action in Texas.

TORRINGTON, Wyo. (KNEP) - The Eastern Wyoming College men’s golf team off to a strong start at the NJCAA D1 Men’s National Tournament.

After a day one total of 295 on Tuesday, the Lancers put up a score of 303 on Wednesday which gives them a total of 22 over par going into round number three. That score has them tied for tenth place overall. Hutchinson Community College leads after two rounds at 10 under par.

Individually Lancer Brendan Thomas also in the top ten after rounds of 73 on Tuesday and 72 and Wednesday. His 1 over par puts him tied for tenth after two rounds. Hutchinson’s Ben Partridge leads going into round three at 6 under.

Third round action set for Thursday with the final round set for Friday out in Odessa, Texas.
