SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- Two people are facing felony charges after police executed a search warrant at their home.

On July 23rd, around 7 p.m. Scottsbluff Police served a search warrant at the residence of 39-year-old Santos Gutierrez and 34-year-old Ashley Gonzalez. 

Police reported searching Gutierrez, which led to the discovery of 8.2 grams of meth in a baggy in his shorts pocket. Police said Gutierrez was arrested immediately after.

Officers stated that the search warrant of the house led to the discovery of a glass pipe with burnt white residue and a bag of marijuana in the trash. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located on the couch, officers said. SPD officials said glass pipe with meth residue and two baggies with a crystalized substance were located in a purse.

SPD reported finding two firearms in the residence as well. Both Gutierrez and Gonzalez were convicted felons prior to the search and are not permitted to have firearms.

The pair were both charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession of meth, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both Gonzalez and Gutierrez have pretrial scheduled for November 16th.
