Big Springs man arrested for alleged sexual assault of child

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol said their investigators arrested a Big Springs man in an investigation into a reported sexual assault of a child.
The NSP said the investigation began this week when they received information about an employee at South Platte Public Schools in Big Springs who had inappropriate contact with a student.
It was reported that on Thursday an arrest warrant was issued for 37-year-old Joel Foster of Big Springs as part of the investigation.
Authorities said Foster was arrested Thursday afternoon without incident.
Foster was lodged in the Scotts Bluff County Jail for two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of child abuse, and first-degree sexual assault by a school employee.
This is an ongoing investigation.
The NSP said they were assisted by the Deuel County Sheriff's Office.
