First there is the Thanksgiving celebration, then "Black Friday," and then Small Business Saturday.

This year's shopping extravaganza, named "Stronger Together," starts with coffee and donuts sponsored by Platte Valley Bank at the Fox Theatre at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. The first 300 participants will receive shopping bags with information from participating businesses.

Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Toshia Jones will be out and about handing out Chamber Bucks to lucky participants.

This year's event will also include a Poker Run. Each participant will receive a sheet explaining the day's activities, including a QR code that leads participants to businesses where they can get playing cards. Prizes will be awarded for the best hands. So far there are more than $700 in prizes for Stronger Together.

The day will also include a craft venders fair at the Elks Lodge. The craft fair is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Elks will be offering Bloody Mary and Mimosa drinks, and a soup and adult grilled cheese sandwich lunch.
