Sidney Holiday Tournament Tips Off Thursday
The Sidney Lady Raiders and Red Raiders are hosting a basketball tournament on Thursday and Friday at the Cabela’s Athletic facility. The four-team Sidney Holiday Tournament will feature Chase County, Gordon-Rushville, Mitchell and Sidney.
By News Channel NebraskaSIDNEY - The Sidney Lady Raiders and Red Raiders are hosting a basketball tournament on Thursday and Friday at the Cabela’s Athletic facility. The four-team Sidney Holiday Tournament will feature girls and boys teams from Chase County, Gordon-Rushville, Mitchell and Sidney.
The tournament tips off at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with a girl's bracket game featuring 4-2 Chase County taking on 4-1 Gordon Rushville. That will be followed by a boy's bracket game with 1-4 Chase County facing 4-1 Gordon-Rushville.
The 6-0 Lady Raiders will tip off against 3-4 Mitchell at 4:30 p.m. followed by the 4-2 Red Raiders squaring off against 3-4 Mitchel for the second time this season. The Raiders opened the Western Conference Tournament to begin the season with a 72-40 win over the Tigers. Thursday’s Sidney games will be broadcast on 97.7 The Big Boy
The girl's consolation game will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. followed by the boy's consolation game at 12:30 p.m. The Championship games will be at 2:00 p.m. for the girls and 3:30 p.m. for the boys. Sidney’s game on Friday will be broadcast on 1340 AM and 95.7 FM, Cheyenne County Country
