Sidney teams sail past Mitchell

The Lady Raiders and Red Raiders traveled to Mitchell Tuesday night to take on the Tigers for the second time in less than two weeks. Although the venue changed, the outcomes did not.

MITCHELL – The Lady Raiders and Red Raiders traveled to Mitchell Tuesday night to take on the Tigers for the second time in less than two weeks. Although the venue changed, the outcomes did not. Both Sidney teams once again initiated a 40-point running clock in the fourth quarter to record easy wins. Every Lady Raider scored on the way to a 60-19 win, while the Red Raiders put 12 players in the scoring column for a 66-25 victory.

Both Sidney teams got off to quick starts. The Lady Raiders posted a 21-6 first quarter lead and the Red Raiders bolted to a 21-4 advantage at the end of one period. Both Tiger teams were held to single digits in every quarter the entire night.

The Lady Raiders were led in scoring by Rheagan Stanley and Reese Riddle, each with 13 points. Jaeden Dillehay paced the Red Raiders with 11 points while Isak Doty and Micah Schneider added nine points apiece.

Sidney is back on the hardwood on Friday when they host Ogallala at the Cabela’s Athletic Facility. Junior varsity games start at 4:00 p.m. with the girls varsity tipping off at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys varsity at 7:00 p.m.
