Authorities arrest one man in single vehicle accident in Sidney on Sunday

A Sidney man a sustained minor injuries (cuts and bruises) when the Chevy Silverado pickup he was driving around a corner on Pole Creek Crossing slammed into a bridge guardrail.

SIDNEY - Gabriel Ross, of Sidney, was arrested  after the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving went out of control at the Pole Creek Crossing bridge at 11:52 a.m. July 16.

Front-end damage to the pickup could be seen where it came to rest upright on a sidewalk on the North side of the road, near the bridge. The accident report says the pickup was totaled and the guardrail sustained damages.

According to the accident report, Ross' Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) results were .33. The legal limit is .08 BAC. The report also states Ross was driving too fast for conditions.

No other injuries were reported. 

The Sidney Police Department, Sidney Volunteer Fire Department, Morrill County Community Hospital EMTs and the Nebraska State Patrol responded to the scene.
