City Council meets July 25

SIDNEY -- The Sidney City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, in City Hall.

The agenda includes approval of the July 11 council minutes and the July 17 minutes of the joint meeting with the Planning Commission.

The council will also conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed Birner real estate donation to the city, Airport Authority request for allocation from the City's Levy Authority, request to the Nebraska Department of Roads for the Oktoberfest parade on Illinois Street.

Planning Commission appointments will also be considered.

Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce President Toshia Jones will give her quarterly report.

Shannon Odiet will give an update of the Morrill County Community Hospital agreement with the City.

Economic Development Director Jeff Klare will be approaching the city council for funding for a social media campaign. In his presentation, he says Sidney and the region is not competing just locally, but also globally. 

The council will also discuss budget workshop dates, and department managers and council members will have the opportunity to present reports.
