Garrett Nelson released by Dolphins

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Teams across the National Football League trimming rosters to 53 players in preparation for the regular season. The Miami Dolphins making several roster cuts on Monday which includes Scottsbluff grad and former Husker Garrett Nelson.

Nelson played throughout the Dolphins preseason earning a sack and several tackles. Miami could sign Nelson and several released players to their practice squad. Nelson also has the option to sign with another team.

Tuesday is the deadline for all NFL teams to trim their rosters to 53 players.
