SIDNEY -- The September 7 open house at Western Nebraska Community College in Sidney included the craftsmanship of an Alliance nurse.

"The Board Babe" spread a table of cheeses, meets, vegetables, crackers and an assortment of fruits. This event also included sparkling grape juices. The Board Babe is a catering service by Joni Sautter of Alliance. She was invited to provide lunch for the WNCC President Greg Dart visit.

The name The Board Babe is the brainchild of friends.

"I have my sister-in-law and my best friend to thank for that name. I am pretty plain person, so they thought it would be fun to have a name that kind of plays on words, such as my charcuterie board and me being a female," Sautter said.

She can do orders from a snack box to a "graze table." She said she can feed as many people as are needed.

Her board focuses on the charcuterie, "which is the meats, and cheese, of course," she said.

The Board Babe has been in business since March 22.

The Board Babe can be reached on through Instagram or Facebook.
