Scottsbluff firefighters respond to structure fire

SCOTTSBLUFF -- Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 1200 block East 38th Street. 

Firefighters with the first engine on the scene began the interior attack on the fire.

The November 4 fire quickly spread through a chase into the attic, forcing crews to exit the building and begin defensive operations. It took firefighters about an hour to control the flames such that firefighters could re-enter the building and fully extinguish the fire.

Valley, Scottsbluff Fire and Gering Fire Departments responded to the fire.
