On Saturday Nov 4, Sidney State of Mind competed in the Old West Choir Fest show choir competition in Scottsbluff.

This competition attracts competitors from all over the region including schools in Colorado.

The Sidney kids won their division and received a Gold Rating in preliminary competition, one of only three Golds given for the day, and the only Nebraska show choir to receive it. The other two show choirs receiving Gold Ratings were from much larger schools in Colorado Springs.

Sidney traveled home with that Gold Rating trophy from prelims as well as awards from the finals competition in the evening. Sidney State of Mind finished second overall in finals as well as earning the Class Act Award, and also snagging the coveted Outstanding Soloist of the competition with Raven Dinorog's solo in "People Get Ready."
