Sidney FFA competes in Career Development Events in Gordon

Sidney High School FFA students competed in the Career Development Events at Gordon January 31, bringing home several top honors.

SIDNEY -- Sidney High School FFA students traveled to Gordon January 31 to participate in a Career Development Events.

There are 25 Career Development Events FFA members can participate in on the local, district, state and some on the national level. CDEs typically cover technical skill areas related to agriculture, food and natural resources career field.

Through Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events, participating FFA members in grades 7 to 12 are challenged to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement. CDE and LDE events occur at the local, state and national levels, according to the FFA website.

 * Riley Rohm who placed second individually in Equipment ID in Ag Mechanics
* Sidney Allard who place second individually in Vet Science.
