NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A Sutherland man accused of sexually assaulting and beating a woman in Sutherland appeared in Lincoln County District Court Monday morning.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Juan Martinez arrived at a woman’s house uninvited and demanded sex in September of 2023. When the individual refused Martinez’s alleged demands and attempted to flee. Law enforcement said that Martinez threw the victim onto a bed and continued to strike her.
