Kimball Police were called Monday to a report of a small child walking on Highway 30 near County Rd 43. When police arrived, a passer-by had stopped to protect the child from traffic. Police made contact with the child and passer-by that were both fine.

At the same time, a mother in the area called 911 to report her child was missing. Kimball Police were able to reunite the child with its mother. It appears the child walked out of the residence and made it to the highway undetected.
