Truck driver escapes injury in rollover accident

CHEYENNE COUNTY, Neb. (March 5, 2024) -- A Julesburg man escaped injury when the truck he was driving went off the road and rolled onto the right side.

Regan Schutte of Julesburg was driving a 1987 Peterbuilt turning south onto Cheyenne County Road 143 from County Road 50 when it went off the southwest shoulder at about 12:10 p.m. 

The truck rolled onto the passenger side, partly blocking the roadway.

 

Vehicle collides with ice fallen from moving truck

POTTER (March 3) -- No injuries were reported when an Arizona man was driving eastbound on Interstate 80 when his car collided with a chunk of ice that had fallen from a truck near the Link 17B bridge near Potter. 

Douglas Eliott Pavlock, of Phoenix, Ariz., was driving a 2013 Kia Optima when the Kia collided with the ice. According to the accident report, the Kia was totaled. 

 

Two vehicles collide on Hickory Street

SIDNEY (February 22) -- Two vehicles collided on Hickory Street at 10:38 a.m. February 22.

Robert McClure, of Sidney, was driving a 1985 Blazer when it sideswiped a parked 2005 Nissan Maxima owned by Misty Lee Wolfe of Sidney near 18th Avenue. The driver of the Nissan, Raymond Garrett of Sidney, was outside of the Nissan when the collision occurred. He is reported to have possible injuries to his upper extremities.
