The Western Conference released its All-Conference Girls and Boys Basketball selections for the 2023-2024 season on Thursday. Both the Sidney Lady Raiders and Red Raiders went undefeated in regular season conference play and were crowned Western Conference champions.

For the Lady Raiders, who finished runner-up at the NSAA State Championships with a 26-2 record, had three All-Conference selections: seniors Karsyn Leeling and Payton Schrotberger, as well as junior Kayla Westby. Leeling, who was also named to the Class C-1 All State Tournament Team, led the Lady Raiders with 11.9 points, and 2.9 steals per game. The 5’9” senior also had team highs with 58 made three pointers, 17 blocked shots, and 106 deflections. Schrotberger was the Lady Raiders leading rebounder with 3.9 boards per game. The 5’6” senior finished her season with a school record 12 charges taken this season. Westby, a 5’7” guard was second on the team in five categories. Scoring at 8.6 points per game, assists at 2.0 per game, rebounds at 3.8 per game, steals at 2.6 per game, and defections with 76.

Seniors Katie Ramsey and Chloe Ahrens were Honorable Mention selections. Ramsey, a 5’8” guard, led Sidney in assists with 2.6 per game while averaging 4.9 points per contest. Ahrens, also a 5’8’ guard, averaged 4.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game and was second on the team with 28 three pointers.

For the 21-3 Red Raiders, senior Isak Doty along with sophomores Keian Kaiser and Alek Doty were All-Conference selections. Isak Doty led the Red Raiders in scoring at 13.8 points per game. The 6’0” guard made a team-high 69 three pointers on the season and paced Sidney with just over two steals per contest. Keian Kaiser led the Red Raiders in multiple categories. The , a 6’3” forward averaged 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while blocking a team-high 14 shots. He was also Sidney’s second leading scorer at 11.3 points per game. 6’2” sophomore Alek Doty averaged 9.5 points and was second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per contest.

Juniors Landon Riddle and Reid Fiscus were named Honorable Mention. Riddle averaged 8.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while Fiscus chipped in 9.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest.
