Red Raider Boys Golf Fifth at Hershey Invite

The Sidney Red Raiders had two golfers place in the top-20 on the way to a fifth-place finish at the Hershey Invitational on Thursday in North Platte.

NORTH PLATTE – The Sidney Red Raiders had two golfers place in the top-20 on the way to a fifth-place finish at the Hershey Invitational on Thursday in North Platte. Cole Hanley was the lone medalist for Sidney on a blustery day at Rivers Edge Golf Course by placing ninth with an 89. Logan Johnson came in fourteenth with a 93.

North Platte Blue took the team title with a 355 total, four shots ahead of runner-up Perkins County with a 359. Overton fired a 364 to take third while North Platte Gold came in fourth with 372. Sidney finished the day at 379, three strokes ahead of sixth-place Sutherland at 382.

The Sidney Boys Golf team if back on the links next Thursday at the Gothenburg Invitational.
