SIDNEY - High Plains Arts Council presented Rebecca Noble's Cabaret Theatre on Friday night at the Sidney High School Performing Arts Center.

The show featured Camille Metoyer Moten and Rebecca Noble, and Ginny May on the piano. It was a salute to the women who changed the face of music with songs by Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Barbra Streisand.

The ladies are no strangers to the Sidney area. They performed in the southern Nebraska Panhandle town for the first time 30 years ago. Their most recent performance was just four years ago.

The duo encouraged the audience to sing along to the song written by Carole King, "You've Got a Friend." However, many members of the audience started singing along midway through their first song.

After singing their last song from the Broadway show "Wicked," the singers thanked High Plains Arts Council for bringng them back to Sidney. They also thanked the audience for supporting the Arts Council. They mentioned art councils are starting to disappear in other communities.
